GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route Mall handed out R45 000 to five non-governmental organisations in George on 25 January.
The money was raised through donations received at two gift wrapping stations, situated at Pick n Pay and Woolworths, over six days during the holiday season.
A cheque of R10 000 each was handed over to Phambili, Rosemoor Old Age Home, JJ Watson Old Age Home and Life Community Services. Odin received R5 000.
Mall manager Rion Olivier thanked customers for their support in making a difference to the local community and for their continued generosity towards a good cause.
