GEORGE NEWS - After a high-speed chase from Conville to Blanco on Wednesday evening, 16 January, four suspects were arrested for dealing in and possession of mandrax.
Earlier that day Conville police received information about a suspicious-looking blue VW Polo driving around in the area. According to George police's communications officer, Captain Nolonwabo Tshengu, the people in the vehicle were allegedly dealing drugs when members of the Conville police station saw the vehicle and chased after it.
"When they reached the N2 one of the suspects threw a plastic bag containing mandrax out of the vehicle. George police assisted with the chase and all four suspects were arrested at approximately 20:00 in Montagu Street, Blanco," Tshengu said.
Three male suspects aged 50, 39 and 35, as well as a 26-year-old woman, were arrested.
