GEORGE NEWS - George Fire Chief has reported that the fire has come over the mountain (completely West of the Montagu Pass) into a large previously burnt area.
George Fire Brigade is being supported by a team from Cape Nature and will work towards securing the Eastern flank (direction Cradock Peak) over the next few hours.
Firefighters have been deployed to protect three farmhouses that are potentially threatened.
