GEORGE NEWS - A woman from George, Kim Ashleigh Engelbrecht, has reached out to the community after one of her neighbours lost everything when their house in Blanco burnt down.
“The family has lost everything and are currently desperate for clothing as they try to get their lives back to normal,” said Engelbrecht.
The cause of the fire that destroyed the house on the corner of Factory and Maitland streets yesterday afternoon, Thursday 12 August, at about 15:30, is still unknown. No one was injured.
A patrol member of Blanco Neighbourhood Watch alerted authorities to the fire.
Anyone who wishes to donate to the family can contact Engelbrecht on 071 877 6565. They are in dire need of mens, women's and children’s clothing as well as any household items.
