Presentation on the making of Obie Oberholzer's new book Going Dutch (12:00) at George Arts Theatre.
Going Dutch is Oberholzer's 16th publication, and covers nine South African towns with Dutch names and their mother cities in the Netherlands.

A typical exemplar of Obie Oberholzer's people photography: the owner of Bergalleen Farm, Bennie van der Linda, holds his Australian cattle dog, Max, in a lapa on this farm near the small town of Marken in Northen Limpopo. There is also a Marken in Holland, that's why this photo features in Oberholzer's book, Going Dutch.

Magical Moments of Song (19:00) at the Dias Museum in Mossel Bay. Much-loved soprano Sandra Nel and tenor Chris Coetzer perform in a benefit concert in aid of Santos Haven Frail Care in Mossel Bay. Tickets cost R150 and can be booked with Abé Meintjes of ArtSpace (083 268 3718).

Steve Newman, Auriol Hays and Dan Boshoff: Songs from around the way (19:00) at the Market Community Theatre. South African musician Steve Newman is regarded as a maestro and is critically acclaimed for his original compositions and virtuosic playing. Auriol Hays originally hails from the Garden Route, as does Dan Boshoff.
Hayes is renowned for her passionate voice and storytelling, and guitarist Dan Boshoff has been playing, recording and touring with a range of original projects over the last 20 years. Tickets cost R160 per person.
