GEORGE NEWS - A Divorce Care course starts tonight, Tuesday 11 February, for people who are going through divorce, are separated, or are in a broken relationship.
Divorce Care is a weekly seminar/support group at Soteria Church, 27 Victoria Street, that helps people heal from the hurt caused by a divorce or separation.
"It offers a warm, caring environment and is led by people who understand what divorcees are going through," says Marianne Schwartz, the facilitator.
"Divorce can be incredibly challenging and is an emotional process, and it is important to find support through this.
"The course allows individuals to share their feelings, connect with others who understand, and receive emotional support."
The course will start with an information/registration evening tonight at 18:30, concluding at 20:30. It will then run every Tuesday over 13 weeks from 18:30 to 20:30.
"Divorce Care will change your life and give you the tools you need to be able to discover hope again and experience healing," says Schwartz.
The registration fee is R280, which includes the Divorce Care workbook.
The course consists of 13 topics, such as dealing with your anger/loneliness/grief and depression, financial and legal issues, and conflict.
