GEORGE NEWS - Tyholora Primary School presented a fruitful event titled ‘Dear Girl Child’ at the school hall on Friday afternoon, 12 September.
This exciting open programme is designed to equip and educate Grade four to seven girls.
The event was attended by respected figures in the local community: Xoliswa Booi and Thandeka Gomomo of Social Development, Patience Shipalane of the Health Department (Thembalethu Clinic) and the well-known recording music artist, Zintle Langa.
These women told the girls of the importance of realising their worth and walking tall, with dignity and self-love.
Topics such as keeping their bodies safe, personal hygiene and setting boundaries within social circles were covered.
