Cut the pewter to an appropriate size to fit a jar. Trace a design onto the tracing paper. Place the pewter, upside down, onto a piece of felt. Tape this down.
Then draw a border approximately 3mm from the edge, all the way around the pewter, using the ball tool. Then draw the design onto the pewter, using the ball tool.
Place the pewter on the wooden board and roll it gently to flatten it.
Dip the cotton wool in degreaser and rub this over the pewter to degrease it.
Then dip the cotton wool in pewter patina and rub evenly over the pewter. Rinse off with cold water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
Polish the pewter with the metal polish.
Stick the patina onto the jar using the Power Pritt Gel and press it firmly against the jar until it sticks.
Remember when doing your designs that they can be made more interesting by drawing on one side of the pewter, then turning it over and doing some of the design on the reverse side of the pewter.
