LIFESTYLE NEWS - This is a lovely way for teenagers to keep themselves busy.

Using different beads and different sized safety pins, they can create a variety of lovely bracelets for themselves.

Requirements

• Safety pins - choose whatever size best suits you
• Beads - seed beads/glass beads/paper beads/brightly coloured beads
• Elastic cord

Method
Open a safety pin, and position beads all along the pin side, using whatever colour or style of bead suits you. Choosing a simple colour scheme can work, or using a variety of brightly coloured beads - work according to your own style. Close the pin, then thread it onto the elastic cord, top and bottom of the pin.

Keep doing this until the elastic is full of beaded safety pins to a length that suits you, that fits your wrist comfortably. Then cut the elastics and tie the ends.

Should you wish to, you can even make beads from paper. Using brightly coloured paper, cut triangular shapes with the wide end just shorted than the length of the safety pin. Roll them up, from the wide end, using a toothpick. Use a little craft glue to finish them off. Then use these on the safety pins. Finish as before.
