This week, using a simple enough idea, beaded serviette holders can finish off your table settings and make everything match nicely.
Choose colours that blend with your tablecloth and dinner service to make everything look good together.
Requirements
- Beading wire
- A variety of matching beads
- Silver acrylic flowers/beads
When purchasing the wire, buy about 20cm curling wire per holder that you intend to make. For each serviette holder (should you be using small beads) buy a combination of about 50 beads. Thread the beads onto the wire.
With the first bead threaded on, use some of the wire to secure it, then add the remaining beads, varying the colours as required. Secure the final bead with the end of the wire.
The twisted holder will now form naturally around your serviettes.
Should you not have the required wire, use normal wire but before beading it, twist it around a narrow pipe then stretch it slightly before adding the beads.
This can give a lovely effect when matching colours are used in the tablecloth, should you paint that to match as well.
