Requirements
- Polymer clay
- Scalpel
- Mirror
- Epoxy resin
- D-ring
Roll out a piece of clay to about 3mm thick and 3cm wide, depending on the size of the mirror used. Place this around the edge of the mirror. Roll a long, thin sausage in another colour and cut it in half, lengthwise. Use one strip to edge the inner line of the frame and another strip to line the other the outer line of the frame.
Use clay in various colours to make flowers with five large, round petals and a yellow centre. Fold some of the petals upwards. Roll tiny orange balls and place these in the centre of each flower. Place these on the frame.
Bake for three-quaters of the manufacturers recommended baking time.
Roll out a thin strip of clay into a sausage, positioning it around the outer edge of the reverse side of the mirror. Roll out another flat piece and trim a semi-circular shape to fit within the back frame. Bake for the remainder of the recommended cooking time.
To hang the mirror, loop a thin strip of clay through a D-ring and make a dent on the semi-circular shape. Remove the strip and the semi-circle and bake separately on a flat surface. Once cool, stick the semi-circle back onto the mirror and glue the tab, making sure the D-ring can still move freely.
