GEORGE NEWS - A fire that started this morning at Klein Bavaria Sawmill in Wittedrift is now contained.

The Working of Fire (WoF) available resources were activated. A drop in temperatures as the evening approach made fire fighting activities more effective.

One aeriel resource was used (stood down at 18:00), together with Garden Route District Municipality's Fire Services, Bitou and Knysna Municipality's Fire Services and Working on Fire (WoF).

The Plan of Action is to mop-up with 29 WoF members until 21:00.
