GEORGE NEWS - The George Music Society proudly presents the Wits Trio consisting of the internationally acclaimed musicians Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), Malcolm Nay (piano) and Susan Mouton (cello).
Wonderful compositions by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Dvorak will be performed.
Zanta Hofmeyr is one of South Africa's most renowned violinists. She graduated from the Juilliard School of Music in New York. She gave her New York debut at Carnegie Hall as a winner of the Artists International Competition. She regularly appears as soloist throughout South Africa for all the important orchestras and is the recipient of many awards and accolades.
Malcolm Nay is an associate professor (piano performance ) at Wits University as well as sought-after adjudicator. He is also well known as a chamber musician.
Susan Mouton plays in several chamber music ensembles and is also the principal cellist in the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
The performance will take place on Sunday 16 April at 15:30 at the dotsure George Arts Theatre.
