GEORGE NEWS - George Fire Brigade are attending to three veld fires.
Two informal structures have been destroyed in a fire in Thembalethu. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
GRDM and MTO are attending to a fire in Blanco.
A representative of the George Fire Brigade said that everything is under control and the cause of the veld fires at this stage is unknown.
He asks people to be cautious because the fire season is upon us.
