GEORGE NEWS - Upgrading of the intersection at York Street and PW Botha Boulevard (at Stanmar Motors) will be happening from 15-30 March.
Traffic impact:
The intersection will be partially closed to traffic during the construction time, which will take place at night (18:00 to 06:00) to reduce traffic congestion.
Extra care is to be taken by road users and pedestrians throughout the duration of the entire construction period. Adherence to temporary road signage and markings will be required.
Bus stops:
Buses will continue to operate for the duration of the construction work. Please
refer to GO GEORGE social media for temporary alternative arrangements.
Access to site:
Access to site will be strictly controlled. Public who enter the site must comply
with all relevant Covid-19 requirements.
