GEORGE NEWS - Another person has succumbed to his injuries after a fatal accident on the N2 in Wilderness yesterday, Tuesday 27 December.
This brings the death toll to three.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, the preliminary investigation indicates, two vehicles, a white Suzuki and a Renault Modus, were travelling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.
"Two occupants, a man (56) and a woman (75), sustained multiple injuries and were declared dead by paramedics on scene," said Spies.
Two other occupants, a man (75) and a woman (61), sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital by ambulance for medical care. Unfortunately the man also succumbed as a result of injuries sustained.
"The cause of the accident is yet to be established and forms part of the ongoing police investigation. The deceased are yet to be identified," said Spies.
