Update
WILDERNESS NEWS - The installation and commissioning of the temporary pipeline on the Kaaiman’s Railway Bridge has been completed successfully.
George Municipality is pleased to announce that the water supply to Wilderness and surrounds has been restored.
The reservoirs are in process of filling up, however the levels are very low, so low water pressure will continue until they can fill completely and the system is regarded as stabilized. This can take at least 8 hours and will be impacted by the expected load shedding from 14:00 – 16:30 today which will affect production for the Ebb and Flow Water Treatment Works.
Residents are requested to report any water related issues to 044 801 9262/66 or 044 801 6300 a/h.
George Municipality would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the residents of Wilderness and surrounds who have rallied together during this water emergency. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
