GEORGE NEWS - Efforts to find the missing Scheepers mother, Heidi (35) and her children, Hugo (2) and Cozette (6) continue in the Voëlklip area in Herold's Bay.
Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, confirmed that the body of a small child was recovered from the water earlier today.
The vehicle at the bottom of the cliff is believed to be the VW Caravelle (combi) that Scheepers was driving at the time of her and her childrens' dissapearance on Tuesday evening.
Scheepers and her children were last seen on Tuesday in Herold's Bay. Her husband, Etienne, reported them missing when they did not return home that evening.
EMS, recovery vehicles and police are still on the scene in Voëlklip to try and recover the vehicle from the water.
"At this stage however, rough sea conditions are hampering recovery efforts," Pojie said.
