GEORGE NEWS - Four days after the body of a 23-year-old man, Jethro Joseph, was found in an open field near PW Botha Boulevard, two suspects, aged 19 and 23, were arrested on Sunday 10 January.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the deceased’s body had multiple injuries when found by a passer-by at approximately 11:30 on Wednesday 6 January.
"The suspects remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in the George Magistrate's Court today, Tuesday 12 January, on a charge of murder," said Spies.
Six suspects were taken into custody shortly after the body was found, but they were released on Thursday 7 January as they could not be linked to this incident at that stage.
