GARDEN ROUTE NEWS & VIDEO - The cause of the fire that had a truck go up in flames on the N9 yesterday, Friday 21 July, can not be confirmed at this stage.
However, according to Western Cape police media liaison officer Capt FC van Wyk, no foul play is suspected.
Debris from the truck that burnt down between George and Uniondale near the Jonkersrus turn-off, was still burning this morning.
The truck, carrying lucerne bales, was traveling from Uniondale in the direction of George when it started burning.
The truck was towed away from the scene this morning while firefighters were still dousing the burning debris.
No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved.
