GEORGE NEWS - Uncedo George is awaiting the outcome of a Santaco (South African National Taxi Council) meeting and will follow its guidelines regarding the capacity loading of taxis under Covid-19 regulations.
This was Uncedo George chairperson Wselele Mbudede’s reply when asked what his organisation is going to do after reports that some taxis across South Africa started operating at 100% load capacity in contravention of the government's regulations.
Government currently has a 70% capacity regulation in place.
Mbudede said Uncedo falls under the umbrella organisation Santaco and will communicate Santaco’s guidelines to members when they become known.
