GEORGE NEWS - An argument between two men led to the death of another on Sunday 20 December in Figland Street, Borcherds, George.
According to Conville police station commander, Col AB Kriga, officers arrived on scene to find the body of a 29-year old man, covered in blood. "According to a witness the suspect and the deceased's brother were involved in an argument.
The deceased tried to intervene and was stabbed in the neck with a sharp object. He died on the scene," said Kriga.
The suspect was arrested and is scheduled to appear in the George Magistrate's Court today, Wednesday 23 December.
In an unrelated incident on Monday afternoon, 21 December, a man was found with multiple open wounds due to an alleged panga attack. According to Kriga the man was involved in a fight in Figland Street in Borcherds earlier that day.
"He was brought to the police station from where an ambulance was called to take him to hospital. No case has been opened yet."
