GEORGE NEWS - Following the devastating floods on Monday 22 November, Christian Revival Church (CRC) in association with Soul Food George came together to distribute meals to feed those in the affected communities.
CRC Cares and the Women’s Ministry of CRC George took time to prepare meals and then tied in with Love George and Esra Isaacs of Soul Food to hand out 300 curry and rice meals. These warm food punnets were well received in the blustering wind when the rain abated in Conville.
Pastor Naas Vermaak of CRC George was grateful to Soul Food. “CRC is so thankful to Esra for responding to our call so quickly. As a community we came together and were able to help those affected by this seasonal storm.
“It has been an honour to work with these community leaders,” Isaacs said.
“It was heart-warming to work as a team to help the families affected in Conville. I believe our efforts have been vital to many thankful families in this region. The collaboration is a true reflection of the spirit of ubuntu in George.”
CBN Africa also assisted the people of George with food today, Wednesday 24 November.
