MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Local filmmaker Luc Prinsloo held a premiere of the hard hitting short film, Guilt, last week.
The film deals with the stark reality of drunk driving and its aftermath. The premiere was held at Diaz Hotel on Thursday, 21 April.
Prinsloo said at the premiere he was inspired to share a message regarding the prevalence of drunk driving in Mossel Bay.
"It has come to my attention that driving under die influence of alcohol is a much bigger problem in Mossel Bay than most people think. This was just a way of creating greater awareness of how an irresponsible act can affect many lives," Prinsloo said.
He filmed with a crew of five, all new to the filming world.
"It was a first on set, shooting a film, for all these guys and I must say they impressed me regardless."
The shoot took place over two days at locations in Mossel Bay, Aalwyndal and Great Brak River. The film was produced with the full cooperation of the municipal Traffic Department, which also made a screen debut.
Prinsloo said that during the production planning and filming process, it was quite a eye opener, speaking to traffic officials regarding the topic of his short flick.
Guilt is available on YouTube from Tuesday, 26 April.
