GEORGE NEWS - Rosemoor Home for the Aged announced with great sadness the passing of the secretary of the board, Henrietta Cassim, on Tuesday 1 November. She was a loved aunt, friend and mother.
Kenneth Africa, the chairperson at the home, said Cassim has been hospitalised these past weeks with Covid-19, and was in the ICU at George Hospital when she passed away.
Africa said Cassim was ever faithful in attending meetings, visiting the elderly and treating them to something sweet.
"The residents would look forward to her weekly visits with excitement. She is also described as a source of spiritual inspiration and she would lead the residents in praise and song. She set a good example by always being willing to give without receiving," he said.
"The home wants to extend our condolences to Cassim's family, she will always be remembered."
