GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Over the last few days there have been reports of harmful algal bloom known as red tides at Mossel Bay near the Glentana area.
The Mossel Bay Municipality has confirmed the reports.
Red tide is a natural phenomenon in coastal waters caused by a dense accumulation of microscopic algae.
Residents have been warned not to eat any shellfish directly from the sea until further notice.
