GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has sent out the schedule for refuse collection during the festive season.
Households may put out seven black, four green and unlimited number of blue bags on their weekly collection day.
Additional tied bundles of branches are allowed if they are shorter than a meter in length and can be picked up by one person.
The household refuse removal schedule over the festive season
- 25 December – NO HOUSEHOLD REFUSE WILL BE COLLECTED. The refuse will only be collected on Wednesday, 27 December 2023.
- 26 December – Collection as per normal schedule
- 27 December – Collection as per normal schedule as well as collection of refuse for 25 December 2023.
- 28 December – Collection as per normal schedule
- 29 December – Collection as per normal schedule
- 1 January – NO HOUSEHOLD REFUSE WILL BE COLLECTED. The refuse will only be collected on Wednesday, 3 January 2024.
