GEORGE NEWS - To have R80 000 worth of diamonds on the tips of your fingers would probably frighten most people, but local influencer and model, Elisma Loftus, took it in her stride and the 10 real diamonds on her nails soon became her best friends.
Earlier this month, nail technician Deo Doné Kruger of Tammy Taylor Nails became the first in George to fit real diamonds onto someone's fingernails.
According to the salon's owner, Miranda Nel, Loftus is a regular client and the diamonds on Loftus' fingers were done as promotion for the salon.
"It was done as part of a promotion, but nevertheless phenomenal and extremely exciting. We also did a set for another client worth R25 000. It was very exciting as we strive to make each client's experience and end result as special as possible," said Nel.
Loftus was over the moon with the final product and very excited to show off her shiny nails.
"Wearing nails worth that much made me feel like I was in a fairy tale," said Loftus.
"Of course I was more careful with my hands in my day-to-day tasks, but every time I looked down at my nails, it made me feel incredibly special. Funny how diamonds can make a woman feel this way. I will wear diamonds on my nails over and over again."
These nails, worth R25 000, were done for another client.
