GEORGE NEWS - About 50 people took part in protest action in Thembalethu early this morning (Friday 21 July).
According to information, the protesters are unhappy about the size of the temporary structures they have been moved to while permanent houses are being built for them.
The protesters demanded larger structures and electricity.
Tyres and a mobile toilet were burnt and a construction site was vandalised.
The contractor was allegedly requested by police to pack up and move off-site.
