GEORGE NEWS - In response to George Mayor Leon van Wyk's call to observe an official time of prayer for the recovery of those who have Covid-19, as well as the safety of citizens and medical and front line personnel, local religious organisations held prayer meetings online and in small groups on Saturday 14 August.
Van Wyk said the alarming increase in infections and deaths had an immense impact on citizens of George, including many working at the municipality.
