According to the George Herald's information, it is a one-metre long piece of wreckage that looks like part of a window frame.
It was handed in this morning to Civil Aviation authorities.
On Monday, a Pretoria archaeologist found the piece while walking on the beach at Klein-Brak.
The BBC reported that the transport ministers of Australia and Malaysia say that two plane parts found in Mozambique a while ago almost certainly came from missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. The two pieces of debris were found separately by members of the public and were flown to Australia for analysis.
Nobody at the Airports Company of South Africa (Acsa) in George or at the communications department in Johannesburg could be found for comment.
