GEORGE NEWS - A petition against the planned high-density affordable housing development in King George Park is being circulated online.
The petition, distributed by the King George Association (KGA), states the petition is of particular interest to residents living in the following areas:
• Die Bult (Highlands)
• King George Park
• Dormehlsdrift
• Rooirivierrif
• Heather Park
• Heatherlands
• Kingswood Golf Estate
• Earls Court Lifestyle Estate
• Golf Park 1, 2 and 3b.
Residents are concerned that the development will have a negative impact on property values and safety and cause an increase in traffic.
The deadline is Tuesday 4 December as the KGA intends to present it to the George Municipality on Wednesday 5 December.
