GEORGE NEWS - Police have confirmed that a Metro search and rescue team is on scene in the Outeniqua Pass.
According to initial information, the team is attempting to retrieve a body from a vehicle wreck at the foot of the mountain.
The vehicle was spotted by a passerby earlier today.
Members of the police, the fire brigade and ambulance services are also on the scene.
No further information is available at this time.
