GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO'S - Several people are attending the opening ceremony of the OCC that is taking place at Carpe Diem school tonight.
Amongst others are Sean Snyman, member of the George city council, Charlotte Clarcke, acting mayor, dr. Dennis Farrell, chairperson of the George Business Chamber, and his wife Lizanne.
Clarcke welcomed the athletes.
She said George and the Garden Route has become a premier destination for the disabled.
Farrell asked big corporate companies to get involved in disabled sport.
*At 19:00 tonight about 600 athletes have registered for the event.The first race,the 42km, starts at 7:00 on Saturday morning at Carpe Diem school.
