GEORGE NEWS - If you care about the future of the children in our region, the role they will play in the community, as well as the preservation of our beautiful and precious environment, here’s your chance to make a difference.
The Wilderness Art Association offers each and every one the ideal opportunity to have a hand in making a major impact with a doodle, sketch, drawing, collage or a painting on an A5 piece of paper, canvas or cloth.
Artist Carole Durrant of BCreative Design & Print and Cabesa Gallery, invites residents to leave a lasting impression by being part of Night of a 1000 drawings. “Isn’t it refreshing not to be asked for money but simply to let your heart, hand and enthusiasm roam free? Give of yourself, give a doodle and give hope, joy and a better tomorrow.”
The drawings will be sold for R100 each on the evening of 28 February 2020 from 17:00 to 22:00 to coincide with the Wilderness Art Festival 2020.
“All proceeds will be going towards child art education at the Seven Passes Initiative in Touwsranten. Thank you a thousand times in advance for your enthusiasm and inspired creation,” says Carole.
A sum of R100 000 will go a long way to boost creativity in Touwsranten.
Place your A5 creation in drop boxes at Cabesa Gallery in Palms Garden Square in Wilderness or the Little Art Shop in Paddagat Centre off Courtney Rd George before 25 February.
