GEORGE NEWS - Plus-size ladies from different areas in George took part in the Miss Full Figure George beauty contest at Club Letrax in Pacaltsdorp on Friday 22 November.
Aysha Wilkinson from Parkdene was crowned as Miss Full Figure, Angelique Felix from Pacaltsdorp is the first princess and Mapule Dakada from Thembalethu was named the second princess.
Carly Adams, the organiser of the event, says the competition is growing every year and she is happy with the support from the public. The Miss Garden Route Queen pageant will be held next year in March.
The competition seeks to create a platform for plus-size women where they can embrace their femininity and also encourages them to feel comfortable in their own bodies.
