GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Eighteen-year-old Minke Janse van Rensburg enjoyed a warm welcome at George Airport today, despite the rainy weather.
Minke brought home 2 gold medals, 4 silver and a bronze which she received for her performance at the European Downs Syndrome Swimming Championships in Italy.
School friends of Up With Downs, family friends and a few friends of the Garden Route Swim School welcomed her back home.
Minke said she can't wait to start practising again, and wants to give all her medals to her coach, Franna Vorster, whom she misses very much.

She had a lovely two week holiday with her uncle and aunt in Rustenburg after the championships, but she's glad to be home.
