GEORGE NEWS - Outeniqua High School presented George Mayor Leon van Wyk with a certificate of appreciation after he attended the school’s procession through the streets to celebrate its centenary last week.
The certificate was handed over by Outeniqua’s principal, Christo Vorster.
The procession, which saw about 1 700 people and approximately 25 vehicles do a circular route from Mithcell Street, round Courtenay, York and Cathedral streets back to the school, took place on Friday morning.
Van Wyk will also attend the Outeniqua High School centenary cala dinner tomorrow evening, Friday 28 July.
