GEORGE NEWS - A 37-year-old man was murdered in his house on a farm near the old Saasveld road (Madiba Drive) last night, Sunday 2 July.
According to a family spokesperson, two suspects entered the house at about 22:10, just after load shedding started.
They allegedly threatened the deceased's wife with a firearm demanding money, cellphones and keys to the safe.
An altercation between the deceased and the suspects ensued and the deceased was shot. He sustained a bullet wound to his head and died on the scene.
The suspects fled with two cellphones and a laptop.
A media enquiry was sent to the police and feedback is being awaited.
The deceased lived in the house with his wife and parents-in-law.
