GEORGE NEWS - The George Municipality honoured the commitment and dedication of 141 staff members who had served the municipality for 10 to 40 years at its annual Long Service Awards last week Wednesday, 28 November.
Adam Appels (senior manager of the Anti-Land Invasion unit), Ronnie Prins (Civil Engineering Wilderness general worker) and Anita August (Pacaltsdorp senior library assistant) all received 40 years service certificates.
Fire Chief Neels Barnard was honoured for protecting George residents against fires for 30 years.
