GEORGE NEWS - Police are on a manhunt after a local lawyer, Sindisisile Dingi (47), was shot in cold blood in Thembalethu on Saturday 15 October.
According to information received from a reliable source, Dingi was sitting in his car in Makhaza Street at approximately 20:30 when he was shot.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies said it is believed that there were two attackers.
One of the men, who was carrying a firearm, opened fire on the victim before they fled on foot. No arrests have been made.
When the police arrived on the scene they found the victim with several gunshot wounds to his head and body. He was declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
The motive for the killing is yet to be determined.
Dingi was also a former detective at the George police station.
