GEORGE NEWS - A labour law and human resources management crash course will be presented by local retired advocate Dr Lukas du Preez as a fund-raiser for the community upliftment projects overseen by Harmony Spiritual and Emotional Healing Centre (NPC registration 2021/999184/08) in the Eden district.
This second crash course follows on Du Preez's training for management/employers in October last year, after which there were numerous requests for follow-up training in this regard.
The course will take place on Wednesday 15 March at the Eden Community Hall in Knysna Road, George.
The programme will start at 09:00 and conclude at 13:00. It is a fast-moving, practical and compact presentation in English and Afrikaans.
In addition to a well-structured, comprehensive workbook for future reference, draft employment contracts (both permanent and fixed-term and incorporating the latest legal requirements) are included. Electronic presentations of a simulated, actual ideal disciplinary hearing and the legally correct handling by management of an actual strike will also be presented.
The target level of the course is senior and middle management, supervisors, human resources employees, consultants, attorneys and labour law advisors. The number of participants will be limited to allow effective participation.
