GEORGE NEWS - Kaalvoet Mzansi is challenging residents of George to donate school shoes to Southern Cape children who desperately need shoes, especially primary school children.
The Kaalvoet Mzansi Foundation believes that education is imperative and having to go to school barefoot can have a detrimental effect on children's psyche, which could result in them turning to unfavourable activities.
According to the founder of the organisation, Anele Ngoyo, buying a pair of school shoes and donating it through the Kaalvoet Mzansi Foundation will help lay a solid foundation that brings a sense of self-worth, which will encourage young minds to complete school and become smart citizens.
People can donate shoes, sizes 1 to 6, at Pick n Pay in the Precap Centre in Courtney Street, or contact Ngoyo on 062 894 4744 or aengoyo@gmail.com.
