GEORGE NEWS - Political party representatives from the Garden Route District Municipality Council gathered this morning at the EdenFM studio for a discussion on the unrest in the country and, in particular, their opposition to it.
The representatives included the Democratic Alliance (Memory Booysen, GRDM mayor), African National Congress (Pieter van der Hoven), Plaaslike Besorgde Inwoners (Virgill Gericke) and Independent Civic Organisation of South Africa (Wilbur Harris).
Pieter van Der Hoven (GRDM Chief Whip: ANC) joined the interview via phone and pledged his commitment.
The political leaders pledged to stand together against mass civil unrest, riots, and looting witnessed elsewhere in South Africa.
