GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route Mall visited six non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in George on Wednesday 25 January in order to help them financially from the gift-wrapping donations the mall had received during the December holiday season.
Two gift-wrapping stations, situated at Pick n Pay and Woolworths, raised R54 000 over six days.
Marketing manager Tumi Masango said the beneficiaries were extremely grateful for the donations as they had experienced a difficult 2022.
A total of R50 000 was shared among Phambili (R10 000), Rosemoor Old Age Home (R10 000), Life Community Services (R10 000), Ithemba Lobomi (R10 000), Ukuwela (R5 000) and Joey's Babies (R5 000).
"We would like to thank all our customers for their support. They are making a difference in our communities," said Masango.
