GEORGE NEWS - Are you inspired by interesting and unusual gardens? If so, you are invited to visit some in George this coming Saturday, 13 November.
The eleven gardens participating in the annual George Open Gardens event will be open from 09:00 to 16:00.
Tickets provide access to all gardens on show. You may visit as many gardens as you have time for. Proceeds are in aid of the local branch of Badisa. The entrance is R50 per person and it is free for schoolchildren.
Tickets can be bought on Saturday at 36 or 38 Stander Street, Bergsig, and 13 Glenwood Avenue, Glenwood. Directions to the gardens will be provided at the same time.
If it rains, the gardens will still be open. Just wear sensible shoes and bring an umbrella. Most of the gardeners will be on site to answer questions and share some gardening tips.
For enquiries, phone Philda on 071 441 9132 or Tracey on 060 676 0078, or e-mail georgeopengardens@gmail.com. Visit the event's website here.
