GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - The George based organisation, SEED International has acknowledged local shops like Pep and Checkers for their interventions in the projects aimed at poverty alleviation.
Pastor Richard Iga the CEO of SEED said with their special consultative status recommendation from the United Nations, they can now issue certificates of merit to these businesses for their effort in the fight against hunger and social imbalances in our communities, especially during this time of Covid-19.
“We have build a relationship with all these shops in George and we trust that our relationship in issues of community development will go along way.”
Iga says they are so happy to have such relationship with shops within the Shoprite Group and trust that they can do a lot more especially through programs of Poverty alleviation, developing of skills and Job creation among among youth and women.
