GEORGE NEWS - The George Hospital Neonatal Unit is appealing for donations of breast milk.
Any healthy, lactating and breastfeeding mom who can express enough extra milk and who has not had Covid-19 in the past two weeks, or symptoms, is invited to donate breast milk.
Containers will be made available for mothers to express milk either at the hospital or in the comfort of their homes. Milk can be dropped off at the hospital or alternatively, contact the Neonatal Unit for a driver to collect the milk.
Donors will have to complete the necessary paperwork and be willing to undergo a rapid HIV blood test.
