GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - A delegation of the Garden Route District Municipality visited the Garden Route Food Pantry this morning.
The Garden Route Food Pantry is being established to serve all the B-municipalities in the area by sourcing and coordinating distribution of essential food products to communities in need.
The delegation included Khaylethu Lose, mayoral committee member for community services, and Clive Africa, the municipality's manager of community services.
Memory Booysen, the mayor, was not present because of another engagement. Food Pantry manager Carl van Blerk said all preparations are on course.
The Food Pantry plans to open in February.
