GEORGE NEWS - Sr Ursula Nel administers the HPV vaccine to a learner at Thembalethu Primary School during the Western Cape Government Health's first round of HPV vaccinations.
Girls with signed consent forms, who are in Grade 5 and 9 years and older will receive the vaccine.
Round 1 of the campaign runs until 23 April.
The HPV vaccines provide a safe and highly effective means to reduce the burden of cervical cancer.
